Today’s repair progress. Replacement tile being set.
The Pirates Cove Swimming pool is getting much needed repair for the 2011 Season. Volunteer Lyle Burnham is managing the project with assistance from Dave Derry. The repairs are required to make the pool ready for summer and will reduce operating costs by eliminating leaks that occur in old pools. Wake County Pool Permit requirements are much tighter than the State of North Carolina requirements that most counties use. Thanks to the many hours of volunteer effort by Lyle and Dave, Pirates Cove will have a safe and efficient pool to be enjoyed by all our residents and guests.
On Sunday, 13 Feb., a luncheon was held at the Pirates Cove Clubhouse to thank neighborhood volunteers for all their efforts. The hard work of these volunteers have made Pirates Cove a better community and kept management costs at historic lows.
